SISSY UND LUDWIG GEBEN SICH DIE EHRE (U1CD-3010-2)  The Ludwig Musical, set at the foot of the famous fairy-tale Castle Neuschwanstein, revolves around its two main characters: Sissi, Empress of Austria and Ludwig II, King of Bavaria. Barbara Buhofer and Julian Tovey play Sissi and Ludwig, taking the audience into their magical world each evening.  The stars of the Ludwig musical are now on tour and have recorded their own CD - "Sissi und Ludwig geben sich die Ehre“ - with over 60 minutes of varied music. There is inspirational music from Henry Purcell, classical from Mozart, romantic from Puccini as well as the entire spectrum of Operetta and Musical from the "Merry Widow" to "The Phantom of the Opera". The three most beautiful songs from the Ludwig Musical, heard by more than one million visitors, are at the heart of the CD. The performances of Barbara Buhofer and Julian Tovey are, according to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, "world-class". The japanese pianist, Mami Teraoka, accompanies the stars with refined and sensitive perfection. The CD was even recorded in a regal atmosphere, in the Banquet Hall of Füssen Castle, overlooking Ludwig's fairytale Castle Neuschwanstein.
