Psycho Key - La La Land - U1CD 3022-2 Members of Psycho Key travel. Since '96 when they met, they traveled inward and outward. Throughout time and throughout the world. Kyra Levy, the lead singer, teamed up with swiss guitar/sitar player Nicolas Jolliet in the Dominican Republic before they met St. Lucian bass player Clint Adjodha. During the last six years, they performed and recorded 3 albums. Recently they were joined by reggae drummer, Aza Naya. They went in search of their true "past lives" in music and concluded that Kyra Levy was probably a jazz singer in the 30's, Clint Adjodha, a reggae bass player in the 70's and Nicolas Jolliet, a sitar player in a maharaja court. They experimented with the sitar, world beats and computer based recording techniques. All these influences filtered through the "rockish" western culture of the 90's, leading them to create a unique music that is at the same time modern and well rooted in the past, fresh, honest and mature.
